Walk & talk therapy
Time to set out
All of us carry heavy emotional burdens, painful wounds or stubborn sticking points that we feel powerless about, however hard we have tried. But now the time has come.
Sound familiar?
- Maybe an important relationship is in crisis, or what hurts is being alone.
- It frustrates you that something unpleasant keeps repeating in your life.
- You can’t make an important decision, or you can’t let someone go.
- You are tired of feeling that you are standing still.
Perhaps you have also reached the moment when you said, “I can’t go on like this, I really want things to change…” and then immediately added, “…but I can’t take the step, I don’t know how to move on.”
You may have seen a professional or tried a workshop, but the initial momentum faded and you found yourself back where you started.
“Come on, let’s set out. I’ll walk with you.”

The supportive walk
What actually happens on the walk?
Walking is a surprisingly effective format. Both physiologically and psychologically, it helps us walk around the topic you bring, literally and figuratively.
It is a session with no time limit, usually lasting 3–5 hours. In a space of attentive, non-judgemental listening, through dialogue and with emotion-focused and somatic techniques, the hidden, unconscious roots of what keeps you stuck gradually come to light.
Here, understanding comes from the experience itself. Held by safe, steady attention, you can open doors to corners of your inner world that you have not dared to enter alone.
The result is a calmer mind, with more room and energy than before, as you set down a large part of your heavy load and reconnect with inner resources that had stayed hidden.
“The most important gift of our work together is independence: I work with you so that you won’t need me any more.”

Why in nature?
When the body moves, the soul moves too
Walking outdoors calms the nervous system. When the body starts moving, emotions, thoughts and associations start to flow as well.
Natural colours, moving leaves, birdsong and the openness of the landscape and the sky lower stress hormones and restore attention, leaving more energy for what really matters.
Walking side by side, you don’t have to keep looking each other in the eye, and you can keep whatever distance feels right. For many people, this makes it easier to speak and to open up.
The path and the landscape are symbolic too: as we walk on, new sides of your topic unfold and the inner path opens up.
Why outdoors?
Freedom & a personal approach
Freedom
We spend exactly as much time together as you need, in a neutral setting, without restrictive protocols or unnecessary rules. Walking side by side, you set the pace; whenever you like, we sit down on a bench.
A personal approach
We don’t cling to any single method. We use the tools that work for you.
No ticking clock
In a traditional one-hour session, half the time or more can go on simply arriving from a busy day. Here there is time to slow down to the pace that real reflection needs.
The path
How does it work?
-
Introductory call
We get a first impression of each other, talk briefly about the topic you’d like to work on, and see whether we are a good fit.
-
The supportive walk
Forests and parks. By arrangement, I can travel further. If walking is difficult for you, we can have a supportive conversation instead.
-
On the way home and after
Many people feel the real relief on the way home. If you need it, you can also send me a short follow-up later.

If this is too much right now
If you can’t pay this amount all at once right now, but you feel you trust me and could finally work on yourself with me, don’t let money stand in the way. Get in touch, and we’ll find a solution together.
Who is it for?
It is for you if:
- you want to move on and stop standing still;
- your issue is really weighing on you;
- you feel change is unavoidable, so you are willing to meet it halfway;
- you have enough inner strength to cope when difficult feelings come up for a while;
- reading this page, you feel a strong pull towards the walk.
Who is it not for?
It is not recommended if you are still in the shock of a trauma, or if you are still gathering strength and are not ready for change. Nor is it right for someone in an acute psychiatric crisis (for example severe depression, panic attacks, psychotic symptoms or thoughts of self-harm): in that case, medical and psychiatric help comes first.
If you are taking psychiatric medication, please talk to your doctor before we start working together.
What my clients said
How they experienced it
“His questions were exploratory at first, then clarifying, and then they went deeper. They took me deeper and deeper. […] I dived deep, and I felt safe. His voice guided me and he held me.”
“It felt good to sit down on a bench and continue our conversation there; it made it easier to turn inwards. Images from the past came up quickly, and Peter guided me with great questions. The result came soon: my tension dissolved in tears.”
“Peti is a wonderful travelling companion. He accompanied me throughout our walk with understanding and heartfelt attention. […] A chance to let go of the burdens of the past, to recognise, see, understand and handle situations, people and the present.”
“But Peter was there beside me, and I could feel him invisibly taking my hand again and again and leading me back. […] Since then I have felt lighter: a heavy burden about my parents has been lifted from my life.”
“All in all, the session gave me many times more than I expected, both emotionally and in real solutions. […] At the end I was surprised that we had worked for 4 hours, because it really was proper work… I practically floated home!”
“Being outdoors had a particularly good effect on me. […] During our conversation Peti was very attentive and easy to talk to, which is why I could open up completely.”
“Holding a safe space, Peter accompanied me through the whole process with understanding attention […] he let me go at my own pace, and all the while he was there with me 100%.”
“Thank you for helping me feel safe all the way through, and for holding up a mirror so that my own answers could surface. I received not only understanding and support but tools as well.”
“On my way home, about 30 minutes after we said goodbye, a sense of freedom took shape in me and I felt lighter.”

FAQ
Questions people often ask
What guarantee is there that I will reach my goal?
My answer may surprise you: none. It doesn’t depend on me alone. What I can guarantee is my undivided, non-judgemental attention, the time I give you and the knowledge I share with you.
If you commit yourself fully too, the outcome can be a long-overdue change of direction, an important decision finally made, or a heavy burden you have carried for years finally set down.
I’ve tried several approaches already. Why would this be different?
Methods are only tools. They are needed, but the person of the helper and your connection with them matter even more. Listen to your instincts, then choose. Choose the companion with whom you are not afraid to step into the corners of your inner world that you haven’t dared to enter alone.
Can this replace psychotherapy?
In short: no. The walk gets you moving on a specific issue, but it does not replace psychotherapy, which has a proven healing and transformative effect. Deep change is still possible, though: it often happens during the walk.
Are you saying one walk is enough?
One walk usually gives you enough of a push to start moving towards change on the topic you bring. But remember: like exercise or personal hygiene, inner work needs regular effort.
It is also possible that some things will only be ready to surface later. If you feel your time has come again, I’ll be waiting for you.
Can we walk in English?
Yes. I’m happy to walk with you in English, and we can switch to Hungarian at any point if that feels easier. Some people find it easier to talk about personal matters in a language that isn’t their mother tongue; for others, it’s the other way round. Either is fine.

The right time to set out is exactly when you do it.
Because of the focused attention and open-ended sessions, I can work with no more than 3 clients a month. Whether or not we end up working together, I wish you well on your way, and healing insights, with all my heart.
